KPC Revision is the flashcard app that comes free with orders from the KPC Notes shop (kpcnotesmt.com). It is run by [REGISTERED BUSINESS NAME AND ADDRESS], Malta. This page explains what the app keeps and why. If you have a question, email kpcnotesmt@gmail.com.
No account, no name, no email
You open the app from the link in your order email. You never create an account or a password. The app does not store your name, email address, home address or payment details. Those stay with Shopify, which runs the KPC Notes shop, under the shop's own privacy policy.
What we keep on our server
- Your order: the Shopify order id and order number, which subjects the order unlocks, and whether it was refunded or cancelled. Shopify sends this to the app when the order is paid.
- Your devices: a random code for each phone, tablet or computer that opens your flashcards (up to 3 per order). It does not identify you or the device's owner.
- Your progress backup: for each subject, which cards you have studied, when each one is due again, your topic test scores and your study choices. This lets you carry on from a new phone or after clearing your browser.
- Giveaway codes: if you use a code instead of an order, the code and the subjects it unlocks.
What stays on your device
Your browser keeps your access key, the device code above, copies of the subjects you opened (so they work offline), your progress and your Maths level choice. Clearing your browser data removes them. The app uses no cookies, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.
Server logs
Like any website, our host records each request (time, page and internet address) in short technical logs used to keep the app running and to stop abuse, such as someone guessing codes. We do not use these logs for anything else.
Who processes the data
- Heroku (Salesforce), which hosts the app in the European Union.
- Upstash, which runs the app's database in Ireland.
- Shopify, which runs the KPC Notes shop and tells the app about orders.
How long we keep it
We keep order records and progress backups for as long as we offer the flashcards for that order. Ask us and we will delete your order's records and backups.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data linked to your order by emailing kpcnotesmt@gmail.com with your order number. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt).
Changes
If we change what the app keeps, we will update this page and the date at the top.
